Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Enfield

Aksular Restaurant

510 Hertford Rd, Enfield EN3 5SS, UK – 020 8805 9646

Visited the restaurant for the first time yesterday in a large group. I loved it. The staff were very warm, accommodating and friendly. Service was surprisingly very quick. We ordered the grilled meat platter, king prawns & sea bass. All perfectly cooked, everything was outstanding! Large portions. Complimentary bread starter- which too was brilliant, soft, warm bread. And the Turkish tea was lovely. And they have a little kids play room - brilliant thinking!! Though there are only a few toys, it's more than enough for a child to expend some energy, & let mums have a meal in peace! Will definitely recommend & visit again! (My only suggestion is to provide some heating in the babies' changing toilet. It's way too cold to undress & change a little baby in there).

Great food - traditional Turkish food of excellent quality. There are some really lovely dishes on the menu. Not exactly cheap. Limited selection of alcoholic drinks available. Excellent prompt service with polite staff. There are no unnecessary long waits for orders which is a credit to the staff. Saturday night is understandably very busy and noisy, making conversation very difficult to sustain. This being the only major factor that lets the experience down, and why they get four stars and not five.

The Meeting Bar & Restaurant

253 Southbury Rd, Enfield EN1 1RG, UK – 020 8363 6856

Definitely worth a trip or 2. The crispy duck was crispy and delicious. Yellow curry ... Again delicous. Most dishes are spicy. So if you like a good fire definitely a good choice..I'm allergic to chili but still ate. Made me a little sick but TOTALLY WORTH IT :) dessert was really good. Banana fritters had a really tasty crispy costing.

Outstanding Thai food, just off the A10. I just moved to Enfield from Hackney, and found this gem. It's delicious, fresh, generous portions and speedy service. Definitely one of the best Thai experiences I've had. Go for it.

Ada Restaurant

Nicon House, 43 Silver St, Enfield EN1 3TN, UK – 020 8367 2060

Just popped in for lunch, as I happened to be passing. I shall be back. I ordered a straightforward lambs'-liver shish, and got a large plate that was half-full of meat, the other half being couscous and rice. Utterly delicious and well-prepared. But, before that, I was given a basket of warm bread with three dips and a huge salad: enough to be a meal on its own. The salad was so fresh it crunched. There was so much food that I couldn't finish it all. And every bit was good quality. But the eating didn't stop there. When they brought the bill, there were two pieces of baklava to go with it. Add to that friendly waiting staff and a very good price (less than £10), and I would count this as being the best lunch I have had for a long time.

Hot, lots of meat, big portions, friendly driver. Sent old reheated bread, very naughty. Had to throw away so couldn't enjoy the meal as I always use bread as wraps to make the meal more filling and last longer. So was particularly annoyed about this. Especially as it brings into question food safety. Everything was top notch apart from bread. No m.s.g so that's a plus.
